I WANT TO ATTEND
I CANNOT ATTEND BUT I WANT TO DONATE
Griffin Gala 2015
You and your guests will begin the evening with a fabulous networking cocktail reception and Silent Auction at the beautiful Shubert theater. From there, you'll be escorted by a Taste of New Haven volunteer who will provide you with historical and architectural facts of interest as you enjoy your stroll to one of our partnering restaurants. While enjoying dinner, there's no need to worry about your bid back at the theater as you can conveniently manage your bid right on your mobile device! Following your delicious dinner, you and your guests will be escorted back to the theater where you'll be treated to coffee, dessert and the highlight of this unforgettable evening, a high-energy show performed by one of Broadway's leading entertainers, Rick Faugno. Like the great entertainers before him (think Sammy Davis Jr.) Rick will entertain you and your guest with lively and memorable song and dance that will have you tapping your toes clapping your hands....a one-night performance you will not want to miss!
Rick has been performing professionally since the age of 12 and has appeared in memorable Broadway shows, including "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," "Fosse," "Wonderful Town" and "Conversations with My Father." He has also appeared on television in The Newsroom, The Following, Conan O'Brien, America's Got Talent, The Tony Awards, The Jerry Lewis Telethon, and LIVE with Regis and Kelly. He also starred in the award-winning independent film, "Virgin Alexander."
Rick originated the role of Frankie Valli in the Las Vegas production of "Jersey Boys," where he was named "Best Singer" by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. His one-man show was also named "Best Lounge Act." He recently appeared on Broadway in the Tony nominated musical "On the 20th Century," starring Kristin Chenoweth, for which he received the 2015 Fred and Adele Astaire Award for Outstanding Dance Ensemble.
You can preview some of Rick's performances at rickfaugno.com or on YouTube, and listen to his album, "Songs My Idols Sang," on iTunes.
Proceeds will be directed toward Griffin's commitment to invest in new service offerings and improved capabilities to better meet the healthcare needs of the greater Valley community.
